This product is good for:
For best results, apply Sun Body Oil to the body before and after time spent in the sun. When in full sun exposure for longer periods of time, reapply this product approximately 1x per hour. Each person’s skin is different, and timing may differ for individuals. It’s important to keep in mind that organic oils absorb quickly into the skin, and can wear off faster than physical blocks containing Zinc. If this product is used in addition to a physical Zinc sunscreen, then the oil should always be applied to the skin first followed by the sunscreen.
Begin use within 18 months of manufacture date on the bottom of the bottle. Use within 6 months of opening.
Laurel Says: This has to be one of my favorite products that we make because it reminds me of vacation. This product has accompanied me on many a beach trip or pool-side lounge. As expressed in usage, it can and should be used before, during, and after time in the sun; but my favorite is after. After a long day at the beach and my skin is just a bit sun kissed, I take a cool shower to wash off the sand. I follow the shower with a generous full body misting of our Oily/Combination Elixir for its anti-inflammatory and cooling action. I then apply the Sun Body Oil from neck to toe and settle in for a relaxing evening. I wake up to skin that is as good as new, and ready for another day of tropical island vacationing! Science: Sunscreens are made with drugs, and plants are not widely regarded as drugs – plants are definitely not regarded as drugs by the FDA. Chemical compounds within plants are variable and can change from harvest to harvest, farm to farm, or processor to processor. While we cannot legally recommend using our products as sunscreens, there is still substantial evidence to support that specific plants with high antioxidant content will absolutely help to prevent sun damage from occurring.
