Hydrating Elixir II: Support + Recover delivers immediate hydration and soothing relief to reactive, irritated, inflamed skin. Made of artisan hydrosols and whole plant house-made extracts, this vitamin, mineral, and antioxidant rich mist cools, calms and relieves while balancing the skin’s microflora for a clear complexion.
Anti-inflammatory and soothing constituents like curcumin and azulene, along with B vitamins, enzymes, natural salicylic acid*, polyphenols, and hydrating humectant complexes that mimic hyaluronic acid. This product is good for all skin types, but is especially suited for acne, inflammation of any kind, hyperpigmentation, and skin that is in need of extra soothing support in order to function in a healthy way.

Shake product well with each use and mist generously and directly onto skin after cleansing, prior to a Serum or Balm.
Store this product in a cool, dry and dark place. Use within 6 months of opening and within 12 months of the manufacture date, which is noted on the bottom of the bottle.

Formula Update: The former Oily/Combination Elixir did not change too much in scent. It still smells mostly of Chamomile, and a wild herbal flower garden. Neroli essential oil has been swapped for a beautiful California Orange Blossom enfleurage, which smells a bit more herbaceous and well-rounded, but still has that light Orange Blossom ethereal dancing scent. Genuine German Chamomile has been increased by a bit for its soothing and cooling azulene content. A few additional whole plant herbal extracts have been added such as Milky Oat Tops for B vitamins and a deeper hydration, Passionflower for quelling reactive skin, and Turmeric for immediate inflammatory relief.
*Natural salicylic acid should not be confused with isolated lab-made salicylic – this is within the context of the delicate healing Meadowsweet plant.
Laurel Says: It is a common misconception that oily skin doesn’t need hydration. Hydration (water) and moisture (oil) are two different things. Most oily skin types are commonly dehydrated as well. Most toners are stripping, drying, and designed to breakdown oils and our natural lipid barrier. This leads to TEWL, trans-epidermal water loss, which leads to dehydrated skin. This Elixir, on the other hand, is centered around hydration and soothing inflammation. By offering the skin hydration and anti-inflammatory plants, balance is restored.
Chamomile – This German Chamomile Hydrosol, grown and distilled in the Pacific Northwest, is the ultimate cooler, soother, and reliever for reactive, red, inflamed or acneic skin. It is a true skin game-changer, and is as powerful and strong as it is calming.
Lavender – Biodynamic® Lavender Hydrosol from California is a rare treasure. It is anti-inflammatory, calming, and cooling to the skin, and has a balancing action to oil production, pH, and our microbiome.
Turmeric – Whole plant organic Turmeric extract is deeply anti-inflammatory to reactive skin and acneic skin. It is brightening, and contains an abundance of flavonoids and polyphenols for antioxidant activity.
Meadowsweet – Deep pore clarifying Meadowsweet is a soothing and balancing plant. It is cleansing and purifying, while at the same time calms and reduces irritation in the skin. Meadowsweet is also a source of salicylic acid while simultaneously offering anti-inflammatory and mucilagenous compounds, making the sometimes negative effects of salicylic nonexistent.
Lemon Balm – This unique hydrosol and essential oil is rare and delicate. Its high antioxidant content is specific to cellular renewal and repair. It also has a lymph affinity, and can have a balancing effect on our surface immunity.
Helichrysum – Pacific Northwest grown and artisan distilled, our Helichrysum Hydrosol is no doubt a powerful medicine. Cooling and soothing Helichrysum is deeply regenerative to the skin by restoring health and vitality on a cellular level.
